WEC 2024 prize pool unveiled

Esports Federation of India (ESFI) took to X to announce the prize pools for World Esports Championship (WEC) 2024's prize pools for Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2 tournaments. The Counter-Strike 2 tournaments carries a combined prize pool of $400,000 USD split between male and female tournaments.

The male Counter-Strike 2 tournament carries a prize pool of $240,000 USD and the winner walks away from $100,000 USD, whereas the female Counter-Strike 2 tournament boasts a prize pool of $160,000 USD with the winner bagging $50,000 USD.

ESFI recently announced National Esports Championship 2024 CS2 tournaments in male and female categories for which the registrations will remain open till 15th April 2024.

Set to commence on 18th April 2024, these online qualifiers will run a double-elimination format, sending the top teams to regional tournaments through which they can secure World Esports Championship 2024 slots. In early January, it was unveiled that 130 member federations had registered for National Qualifiers of the World Esports Championship 2024, reaching an all-time high.

WEC 2024 will take place in November 2024 featuring 24 teams in a round-robin across four groups, sending top three teams from each group to a single-elimination bracket playoffs where all matches are Bo3s.
