Aurora moves into ESL Challenger Melbourne 2024 semi-final

Party Astronauts head home

After running through sunday school, Party Astronauts were up against Aurora with the teams looking to book their place in the semi-final against Rebels.

The series kicked off with Party Astronaut starting with the T-sided pistol on Inferno. After the opening a couple of rounds, Aurora ended the opening half on an eight round streak to go 9-3 up and a flawless T side saw Aurora ease to a 13-3 win.

Party Astronauts took a two-round lead on their CT side to get things underway on Overpass following a back and forth affair. Aurora quickly tied things up after securing the second half pistol and deko coming in with a crucial 1v2 against the force buy on the B site thanks to a well-timed late lurk. A strong CT half from the Russian team saw them pick up a 13-11 win to take the series 2-0, seeing off a more competitive Party Astronauts in the second map.

While the loss sends Party Astronauts home, Aurora will not face Rebels in the semi-final of the ESL Challenger Melbourne 2024.
