MIBR take down Aurora to win ESL Challenger Melbourne 2024

After two days of action at the ESL Challenger Melbourne 2024, we had Aurora taking on MIBR in the Grand Final with Aurora looking to add yet another CS2 title to their belt.

Mirage got underway with the Brazilians picking up an important CT pistol and they had a clear runway to take a big lead but important clutches from r3salt and KENSI kept Aurora in the half early on before MIBR ended with a 7-5 lead. While Aurora picked up the second pistol and went 9-7 half, the Brazilians fought back in a neck-and-neck half which saw MIBR pip Aurora for a 13-11 win.

MIBR's pick of Anubis also started in a back-and-forth manner in the initial rounds before finding their footing on the T-side to go 7-5 up. insani kept the Brazilians going and it was MIBR wrapping up the series with a 13-7 win on Anubis to take the series 2-0 and win the ESL Challenger Melbourne 2024.

Not only does MIBR take home the $50k prize money but also secures an ESL Pro League Season 20 spot.
