Sashi turns it around against Sampi
The final quarter-final game of the Skyesports Championship 2024 Europe Closed Qualifier saw Sashi go up against Sampi with the winner set to clash against 3DMAX in the semi-finals.
After the initial couple of trading of rounds, it was Sampi running away with their T side on Dust2, which saw them go 9-3 up. A clean second half pistol saw them hit double digits and it was a formality after that, as Sampi locked in a 13-3 win. Sashi started Nuke, like Dust2, with the opening pistol of the map, this time of their T side. The Danes ran away to a 5-1 start before Sampi stole a round on a half buy to get their CT side going.
Sashi ended the opening half on Nuke with a seven-round T side and it was a flawless defensive half from the Danish team as they secured a comfortable 13-5 win. Mirage was the series decider with Sampi coming in with a clinical retake on the A site to lock in the opening pistol. Conversions against the force and eco along with the first gun round saw Sampi go 4-0 up before Sashi finally put up their first T round thanks to kwezz and Cabbi opening up Connector. Sashi were quick to tie up the score before making it eight in a row to close out the half with a four-round lead.
Sashi started with the second half pistol and went 11-4 up before a quick A-hit from Sampi saw them win their first round after 11 straight rounds from the Danes. fino's AWP saw Sampi manage a couple of T rounds but Sashi proved to be too strong as the Danes closed out Mirage at 13-9 to reverse sweep the series 2-1.
Sashi will now face 3DMAX in the semi-finals of the Skyesports Championship 2024 Europe Closed Qualifier with the winner of the Closed Qualifier booking their spot in the Skyesports Championship 2024 main event in Mumbai, India in July 2024.
