Revenant edge out lajtbitexe
Revenant faced lajtbitexe in the Consolidation final of the United21 League Season 17, with a spot in the Grand Final up for grabs.
The first map took us to Anubis where Revenant started on the T-side and showcased the map's t-sidedness with a solid 6-0 start. Revenant's failed mid-takes netted lajtbitexe 3 rounds but the half still went 9-3 in Revenant's favor. Pelle and suonko stepped up for lajtbitexe in the second half, nearly levelling the score with a four-rounds streak but Revenant recovered and closed out Anubis 13-8.
lajtbitexe conceded the initial few rounds on the T-side of Mirage but a change of pace flummoxed Revenant as the Poles tied things up at 3-3. The trio of suonko, Pelle and Frontsiderr made life very difficult for the CT-side, taking the half 7-5 in favor of lajtbitexe. It was nearly done and dusted as Revenant sprinted to match point at 12-9, dropping just 2 rounds in the second half.
lajtbitexe did not back down, fighting with all their might to string up three rounds as they levelled the score and pushed things into overtime. After an even back forth sequence in the first overtime, a flawless CT-side from lajtbitexe in the second overtime, fetched them the map 19-17, keeping their grand-final hopes alive.
Starting on the CT-side of Nuke, Revenant's veteran IGL stepped up alongside reiko to keep the Ts at bay, denying information at every step and disrupting lajtbitexe's outer takes. The half ended 7-5 in Revenant's favor but a pistol and anti-eco loss in the second half levelled the score at 7-7.
Revenant dropped just a couple of rounds after that, closing out Nuke 13-9 with reiko and NBK topping the charts with 23 and 20 frags at ADRs of 90 and 104. With this win Revenant have confirmed their United21 League Season 17 grand-final appearance against Johnny Speeds.
