Eternal Fire fightback to end the group stages unbeaten
Eternal Fire and 3DMAX the two unbeaten teams of Group B at the Skyesports Championship 2024, both of whom had already locked in their Playoffs spot, took on each other in the final game in Group B with the winner set to lock in a direct semi-final spot.
The action kicked off on Anubis with Eternal Fire starting strong with a seven round CT side on one of the most T-sided maps in the meta currently. The French team fought back on their CT half and it was a Djoko ace that saw 3DMAX hit double digits first. Eternal Fire though weren't willing to give up without a fight as they pushed the map to overtime.
A back-and-forth affair in overtime saw Eternal Fire take a 16-14 win to see themselves remain unbeaten in the group stages, top Group B and move directly into the semi-finals. 3DMAX have also locked in their place in the Playoffs and will be playing the quarter-finals.
