CAC 2025 expands to 16 teams

CS Asia Championships 2025 announced

Perfect World to host the event

Perfect World took to X to announce a high profile Counter-Strike event that they are set to host next year. Taking place in the first half of October 2025, CS Asia Championships returns for a fourth iteration and will run for almost two weeks.

The event will see sixteen teams take stage in China to battle it out on LAN. The previous iteration of the CS Asia Championships (2023) saw a total of eight teams split into two groups of four and the event carried a colossal $500,000 USD prize pool. FaZe dished out a dominant win against MOUZ to win the CS Asia Championships 2023.

October 2025 is set to be jam packed with Counter-Strike action as the month begins with the CS Asia Championship 2025, after which we get to see BLAST host another tournament. YaLLa Compass 2025 will also take place in October 2025. Since PGL is partnered with Perfect World, they will not run an event simultaneously despite having the timeslot.

Starting out in 2018, the CS Asia Championships was put on hold as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Perfect World returned with the event last year but have not made any announcements as to it's happenings in 2024, given that the organization is occupied with it's first Counter-Strike major.
