PGL announces worldwide events for 2025-26 circuit

PGL have revealed the details for their global Counter-Strike 2 circuit for 2025 and 2026, with eleven tier-one events being announced, which will be held all over the world. Tournaments have been announced in Argentina, Romania, Kazakhstan and Serbia with the 2026 calendar also having events in Brazil and Spain.

PGL, who have hosted three of the last five Majors, will also partner with Perfect World to host the CS Asia Championship and will be hosting the inaugural Asian Counter-Strike Major, later this year in November, which will take place in Shanghai.

Out of the eleven events, PGL will host six on their own and four will be along with FiReSPORTS with the CS Asia Championship 2025 being the eleventh event.

PGL have revealed that as a result of a packed Counter-Strike 2 calendar, all events will have direct invites based on Valve Regional Standings, with there being no open qualifiers. The events will have 16 slots, with ranks 1-16 being invited. The direct invite rule though, will not be applicable to the South American events, which will have the top two teams from South America and the rest will be from the Valve rankings 1 - 14.

All of the events will follow a BO3 Swiss system group stage format with eight teams moving to a single elimination playoff bracket along with a BO5 Grand Final.

PGL have announced that the prize pool for all the events will be similar to the CS2 Majors and will carry a prize pool of $1,25,000 for each event, with the winner taking home $425,000. Each event will also have a total of $450,000 as hospitality support, which will include roundtrip flight tickets, accommodation for 8 people per team, hospitality packages and practice rooms for six people.
