True Rippers fighting for their lives in the Asia RMR Closed Qualifier today
True Rippers, who had a mixed opening day at the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 Asia RMR Closed Qualifier, will be fighting for their tournament lives today.
True Rippers, who recently moved their star rifler Rossi to the in-game leader role, suffered a loss in their opening game to Niory in a BO1 encounter which dropped them to lower bracket. After a slow start, especially from Crazy_Gamer, who had a game to forget in the upper bracket quarter-final, the former-Gods Reign captain powered up to make sure True Rippers weren't going home on the opening day itself as they bounced back against DEWA United to pick up a crucial BO3 win.
True Rippers will play Forward today, who were sent to lower bracket by Gods Reign, in a BO3 matchup and Rossi and his boys will be hoping to keep up the momentum from their last game. True Rippers not only have a new IGL, but yesterday was the first time their new signing Crunchy, debuted in an official. While its not the ideal situation for the team, the Australian had a strong series against DEWA United as did their Russian AWPer, DayMake. True Rippers will be hoping that all their big guns are firing from the get go.
True Rippers takes on Forward at 12:30 IST today in the lower bracket semi-final and every game moving ahead is an elimination game for the Indian team.
