Rooster drops the ball as MOUZ survive massive scare
Rooster kicked off their ESL Pro League Season 20 campaign against MOUZ in their Group C upper bracket quarter-final.
The Oceania squad's pick of Mirage was the series opener as Rooster started with a seven round T side. A strong defensive hold saw them stun MOUZ 13-8 with slimey and chelleos having strong performances with 19 kills each.
Switching to their pick of Vertigo, it looked like normal service had resumed, as MOUZ stormed away to a big 12-3 lead. Rooster though, weren't done yet as they fought back eith asap and dangeR stepping up to make the comeback stick, pushing the came to overtime. It was chelleos with the impact in overtime. Rooster had the upset all locked in at 15-14 in a 5v2 but bottled it which led to MOUZ holding on for a 19-15 win.
Like it is in most cases with the underdogs, after missing out on closing the series, on the decider on Inferno, it was a lop-sided affair as MOUZ stomped Rooster 13-6 with siuhy closing things out with a 1v2 on an upgraded pistol buy. Rooster now drop to the lower bracket and will face the loser of the BIG - Imperial game.
