The MongolZ sent home from ESL Pro League Season 20 by Eternal Fire
After sending BIG home, The MongolZ continued their Playoffs run, taking on Eternal Fire in the Ro12 at the ESL Pro League Season 20.
Eternal Fire fought back late on Mirage to start with five CT rounds before starting strong on their T side to take the lead at 8-7. The MongolZ strung together a couple of crucial defensive rounds as they hit map point first but the Turkish squad held on to push the map to overtime. Eternal Fire started overtime with the first round but it was all The MongolZ after that as a bLitz 1v2 pulled The MongolZ over the line at 16-13 with Senzu topping the scoreboard with 29 kills.
It was a spirited CT half from The MongolZ on Eternal Fire's pick of Anubis but Eternal Fire's CT pistol win quickly propelled them to double digits and a strong performance from XANTARES saw Eternal Fire stay alive in the series with a 13-9 win on Anubis. Inferno saw a couple of crucial 910 clutches late on the opening half to give The MongolZ seven T rounds and started with the CT pistol which put them in pole position to take the map but Eternal Fire fought back to quickly tie up the score at 10-10. MAJ3R called a sublime T side as Eternal Fire hung on for a 13-11 win to reverse sweep the series 2-1 and end The MongolZ 's run at ESL Pro League Season 20.
While the loss is the end of the road for The MongolZ in Malta, Eternal Fire will take on Vitality next, in the quarter-finals of the ESL Pro League Season 20.
