s1mple's matchup against Virtus.Pro attracts large numbers
s1mple’s return to CS2 didn’t quite go as planned, as Falcons crashed out of the Thunderpick World Championship 2024 without winning a single map, falling to 3DMax and Virtus.Pro. But that didn’t stop fans from tuning in en masse to watch one of the game’s all-time greats make his comeback.
According to EsportsCharts, s1mple’s second match of the tournament, where he faced off against his former teammate electronic and Virtus.Pro, hit a peak viewership of 247,082. Despite the 0-2 loss, s1mple stood out as the only player with a green rating, boasting an impressive 1.24.
Fans won’t have to wait long for his next appearance, as s1mple is set to face SAW at ESL Challenger Katowice 2024 on 25th October at 16:30 IST.
