Rare Atom sent home from Halloween Cup on opening day
After going down to Johnny Speeds in the 500 Casino Halloween Cup 2024, Rare Atom faced Endpoint in the Group A elimination game and the Chinese team were reverse swept by Endpoint to see themselves eliminated from the $10,000 online event.
The series kicked off on Rare Atom's pick of Ancient, which saw a big nine round T side and eased to a 13-5 win with ChildKing and Summer topping the scoreboard with 22 and 20 kills respectively. Endpoint bounced back on their pick of Mirage, starting with a two-round lead on the T side before an inspired defensive hold led by AZUWU saw them pick up a 13-5 win to tie the series 1-1.
The decider on Anubis started with Endpoint taking a two round lead at the half and a strong CT half led by Surreal and cej0t saw Rare Atom go down 8-13 to get reverse swept 1-2. The loss means the Chinese team leaves the event in last place.
