Asia RMR match setups surface on X

The Asia-Pacific RMR leading up to the Perfect World Shanghai 2024 Major is underway, kicking off proceedings with the Americas and European RMRs to follow soon. The excitement is in the air and fans have flocked in tens of thousands in numbers to tune into PGL's remote broadcast of the event.

The match area for the Asia RMR has surfaced on X and it seems that the Asian Counter-Strike giant is hosting the RMRs from hotel rooms, a similar sight for Indians fans, who saw the way Skyesports hosted the initial LAN phase of the Skyesports Championship 2024. It was also clarified that the rooms where players play the matches were different from their practice areas.

The setup by itself has the community divided in terms of opinions. While some didn't really bat an eye, the rest took to sharp criticism considering the importance of a Counter-Strike Major, comparing it to Dota's Internationals which had the similar hotel room group stages trend going for a while.

The first day of the Asia RMR has already seen a deviation from the published schedule and the delays have caused all the games to be pushed back by an hour each.
