ESL Challenger League Season 49 Asia-Pacific: Preview
The ESL Challenger League Season 49 Asia-Pacific kicks off today with 16 teams from the region battling it out over almost four months to lock in an ESL Pro League Season 22 spot. Along with the top teams from the region, we have Gods Reign representing India in the tournament with the likes of Rare Atom, TYLOO, Lynn Vision, ATOX, Chinggis Warriors and The Huns amongst others.
Before the action on the server kicks off later on today, here's everything you need to know about ESL Challenger League Season 49 Asia-Pacific.
Format:
Regular Season -
The tournament will follow a double round-robin format with all teams playing each other twice. The double round-robin games will the BO1s.
The top 10 teams from the 16, will move to the Playoffs.
Playoffs -
The Playoffs will be a double elimination bracket, with all games being BO3. The Grand Final will be a BO5 encounter.

The 1st and 2nd placed teams from the Regular Season will move to the Upper Bracket semi-finals

The 3rd - 6th placed teams from the Regular Season will move the Upper Bracket quarter-finals

The 7th - 10th placed teams from the Regular Season will move to the Lower Bracket.
The winner of ESL Challenger League Season 49 Asia-Pacific will be not only booking a place in the ESL Pro League Season 22 but also win a prize money of $15,000.
