The MongolZ to kick off Katowice 2025 campaign against Liquid

With the play-ins done and dusted, we have the stage two, or the main event of IEM Katowice 2025 knocking on our doors. The opening round games kicks off today, presenting four Bo3s of Group A today, and two Bo3s of Group B, while the remaining group B matches will be played tomorrow.

The MongolZ find themselves in Group B, and will be facing off Team Liquid who qualified through the Play-Ins. On one hand, we have The MongolZ who haven't played an official since their outing in the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, which was around 2 months ago. On the other hand, Team Liquid have already shaken off all the pre-season rust, with their participation in BLAST Bounty Season 1 2025 and the play-ins.

The MongolZ matchup with Liquid will take place tomorrow, while Falcons, Eternal Fire, Vitality, 3DMAX, G2, Virtus.Pro, FaZe, BIG, NAVI, FURIA, MOUZ, and GamerLegion will be seen in action today. Below are all the matchups of the opening rounds :
