VICTORES SUMUS lose to SemperFi in controversial BLAST Rising Asia Open Qualifiers
There have already been issues with the BLAST Rising Asia Open Qualifiers, particularly with the registration process, as BLAST's partner 5eplay requires a mainland China phone number for signing up. Now, Benzene from VICTORES SUMUS has reported additional challenges while competing in the Qualifiers.
After successfully registering for the Open Qualifiers by joining the event's Discord server, Benzene was informed by the admin that his match would be on the 6th of February. However, it turned out to be scheduled for the 5th of February instead. Since they were unaware of the timing change, they were forced to forfeit.
Later, the admin suggested that VICTORES SUMUS participate in the OCE qualifiers, to which they agreed. They are now facing SemperFi on Singapore servers, which turns out to be something SemperFi didn’t expect, as they were anticipating Guam servers.
VICTORES SUMUS ended up losing the series 2-0 after 13-2 and 13-4 losses on Anubis and Nuke respectively. The following teams have qualified from the respective divisions:
