Media: Jee cries tears of joy after qualifying for EPL 21 Stage 2
Following their victory against FlyQuest that cemented their place at ESL Pro League Season 21 Stage 2, TYLOO's AWPer Jee broke down in a very emotional post match interview.
A translation of the interview was then posted by CS2 News on X, that revealed the reason for Jee's tears. The translation, according to CS2 News read :
"After we lost 2 consecutive games, I spread some negative energy towards my teammates, which I'm really sorry for. (He already apologised to them before the match) I'm really thankful for having such teammates, and thanks advent who added us when we were very young"
An HLTV forum post later provided more context, explaining the pressure Jee has been under since his transfer from LVG to TYLOO, which some in the Chinese community viewed as a betrayal. Additionally, Jee has faced criticism for his 'bubbly' personality, a trait that contrasts with the cultural preference for humility.
Despite missing some crucial shots when TYLOO were leading 12-10, his teammate JamYoung still bought him an AWP in the final round. In the final round, Jee got three impactful frag to take TYLOO across the finish line. The weight of expectations, scrutiny, and the relief of advancing to Stage 2 ultimately led to his emotional reaction.
