BLAST announces everything you need to know about MRQs

BLAST has unveiled all the details regarding the MRQs, from the dates, the format, the number of teams that will be invited, to the number of matches that will take place. The MRQs will feature 75 matches and 182+ hours of gameplay, with each region following its own format.

The MRQs will start from 14th April for Europe and go on till 17th, while NA, SA, and Asia will have the MRQs run from 15th-17th April. Asia will have a total of three regional qualifiers - China, Oceania, and Mongolia & Western Asia, with the best performing Asian region getting two slots.

Invited Teams

The invitation process, based on Valve's Regional Standings (VRS) as of April 7, will have a total of 16 teams invited directly to Stage 2 and 3. Out of which each region will be allocated with the following number of teams:

• Europe: 10 teams (Top 6 to Stage 3, 7th-10th to Stage 2)

• Americas: 5 teams (1st to Stage 3, 2nd-5th to Stage 2)

• Asia: 1 team (1st to Stage 3)

Moreover, a total of 16 teams will enter the Stage 1 from MRQs:

• Europe: 6 teams

• Americas: 6 teams (3 from NA, 3 from SA)

• Asia: 4 teams
