The Ninjas go missing against Astralis
It was a b0RUP show Astralis eliminated Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) from IEM Cologne 2023. It was an extremely one-sided affair which saw Astralis take down NIP 16-6 on both maps.
The series got underway on NIP's pick of Vertigo. headtr1ck got things underway with a quad kill on their T side and the Ninjas were 4-0 up before a Staehr triple mow down at ramp saw Astralis pick up their first CT round. A device triple on the MP9 on a low buy saw Astralis take their second and the Danes built on that to take a 9-6 lead.
A device double saw Astralis make it ten as they picked up the second pistol. A device 1v3 on the A site saw Astralis go 12-6 up and device and b0RUP turned around a 3v5 on their own in a B site brawl to put the Danes on 14 and it was a flawless T half as they closed the map at 16-6 with b0RUP ending on top of the scoreboard with 24 kills and had an ADR of 105.6.

Ancient was Astralis' pick and it was another multi-kill from headtr1ck to see NIP take the opening pistol. NIP built a three round lead to start things off but Astralis tied it quickly at 3-3. A device 1v2 on the A site put Astralis on seven and the Danes were 8-3 up before an impactful round from headtr1ck with the AWP saw NIP put up their fourth. It was another strong opening half from Astralis as they finished with a 10-5 lead.
Buzz's 1v1 against headtr1ck saw Astralis pick up the second pistol and were up 13-5 after the conversions. A blameF double mow down on the A site saw Astralis secure match point and won the map at 16-6.
