In a game where momentum makes most of the difference, Counter-Strike has seen some of the great teams going on domination runs. With CS2 taking the centre stage, its been tough for teams to maintain consistency but with the new addition of ropz, Vitality look like the ones who can create history.

Here we take a look at teams that have gone on some of the longest win streaks, considering matches from big events according to HLTV.

5. Vitality - 16 wins (2025)

The Vitality powerhouse has grown even stronger with the addition of ropz, and they show no signs of slowing down. Their streak started at IEM Katowice 2025, which they ended up winning. Then they went on to claim ESL Pro League S21 title, extending their win streak further. They wrote themselves into the history books as they took down MOUZ in the Grand Final of BLAST Open Lisbon 2025 to extend their unbeaten run to 16 matches in a row, overtaking Luminosity's 2016 run of 15 wins. An incredible stat about Vitality's 16-run win streak is that fact that all 16 have come on LAN matches.

4. NAVI - 20 wins (2020-2021)

Coming off of great run at IEM Katowice 2020 and a flawless IEM Cologne 2021, NAVI came into PGL Stockholm Major 2021 and went on to post a flawless Major campaign, securing their first and only Major. During their run, NAVI stacked up 20 wins back to back.

3. Liquid - 23 wins (2019)

Going on to win multiple events in 2019, although known for their volatility, 2019's Liquid was arguably one of the top 3 teams at the time, giving Astralis (#1 at the time) a run for their money. Going on to post great runs at DreamHack Masters Dallas 2019, ESL Pro League Season 9 Finals, ESL One Cologne 2019, BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles 2019 and IEM Chicago 2019, Liquid were on a 23-match win streak, bringing them in at #3.

2. Ninjas in Pyjamas - 24 wins (2012-2013)

When CS:GO was still a new game with the pros and casuals struggling alike to make the switch and get adjusted, Ninjas in Pyjamas took the competitive scene by storm, going undefeated for over a year and a half. The Swedes' dominant run included around 15 LAN tournament wins. During this time, Ninjas in Pyjamas put up a win streak off 24 matches, when filtered to just "Big events".

1. Astralis - 28 wins (2018)

Taking first place is a team that reset Counter-Strike, a team that changed the meta forever with utility and teamplay- Astralis. The 2017-2019 Astralis era was on the most dominant eras, with the team going on the secure 4 Major titles, with 3 consecutive ones. 2018 in particular was a time when the least of the least could parallel Astralis.

Coming off of an ECS Season 6 Finals win, The Danes put up flawless runs at ESL Pro League Season 8 Finals, BLAST Pro Series Lisbon 2018, IEM Katowice 2019 Major and BLAST Pro Series São Paulo 2019, closing out 28 Matches in a row, shooting them right up to the top of the list.
