HOTU books final PGL Astana 2025 Asia Closed Qualifier spot
The final team for the PGL Astana 2025 Asia Closed Qualifier has been confirmed as Russian squad HOTU has made their way through the Rest of Asia Closed Qualifier. HOTU took down Mongolian team The Huns in the Final to qualify.
The Rest of Asia Closed Qualifier also had 3 Indian teams taking part in Gods Reign, Flshbck and Victores Sumus but it was a poor outing from the Indian teams, with Gods Reign's 5th-6th place finish being the best for the Indian teams. HOTU meanwhile, qualified without dropping a single map, taking down Eruption in the first game, beating Chinggis Warriors in the upper bracket semi-final before facing The Huns in the upper bracket final.
HOTU handed The Huns a 0-2 loss in the upper bracket final but The Huns made their way to the final through a lower bracket run but it was a similar story in the Final as well, as HOTU went 13-10 on Nuke and closed out the series with a dominating 13-4 win to lock in a clean 2-0.
With HOTU qualifying to the Asia Closed Qualifier, the four teams for the Closed Qualifier have been confirmed and are Rare Atom, SemperFi, JiJieHao and HOTU. The winner of the Asia Closed Qualifier, which will take place on March 31 and April 1st, 2025, will make their way to $1,250,000 tournament, PGL Astana 2025.
