Gods Reign secure Finals spot in Upthrust Esports Gaming Fest Season 3

Gods Reign won the pistol round and converted the follow-up, starting on the CT-side of Inferno. ROG Academy took the first gun round at 2-1 but things went downhill from there for ROG Academy, as Gods Reign managed to build a huge 10-1 lead, locking down a solid CT-side defense, denying ROG Academy map control. ROG Academy managed to string up 3 more towards the end of the half but Gods Reign secured the first half 11-4, still in their favor.

Gods Reign displayed a superior T-side, securing match point without dropping a single round and closing out Inferno 16-4, going 1-0 up in the series. Crazy_Gamer led from the front, dropping 27 frags, even wielding a T-side AWP at one point in the match.

Ancient was a one-sided affair, as Gods Reign exploited the T-sidedness of the map, pushing ROG Academy to their limits. ROG Academy's CT-side could do very little to contain Gods Reign's constantly evolving, dynamic T-side. Everyone from Gods Reign stepped up, dropping just 3 rounds in their T-half, to secure a 12-3 half in their favor.

ROG Academy's only hope to stay alive in the series depended on whether they could exploit Ancient's T-sidedness like Gods Reign but it couldn't have been farther from what happened, as Gods Reign put up a great CT-side, dictating the pace of every round. Just a single player managed to cross double figures for ROG Academy on Ancient. Without dropping a single round, Gods Reign closed out Ancient 16-3 and the series 2-0 to eliminate ROG Academy in the semi-finals.
