Cloud9 sweep aside NAVI
The Group A upper bracket semi-final of BLAST Premier Fall Final 2023 between NAVI and Cloud9 commenced amidst heightened anticipation, marked by the debut of w0nderful for NAVI.
Unfolding on Anubis, w0nderful took giant strides, boasting an impressive 1.56 rating in the first half and propelling NAVI to secure seven rounds on their T side. However, the defensive prowess faltered on their CT side, allowing Cloud9 to clinch the first map with a 13-11 scoreline.
Transitioning to the second map, Cloud9's selection of Ancient spelled adversity for NAVI from the outset. Despite securing the first two rounds on their CT side, NAVI succumbed to the relentless firepower of the Terrorists, managing only four rounds in the half.
However, as the second half unfolded, NAVI turned the tides going on an inconceivable winning spree. With w0nderful attaining a 1.72 rating, NAVI only conceded one round and secured the map 13-9.
After trading blows on the opponent's map pick, the game progressed to the third map Inferno. Starting on the CT side, Cloud9 posed a strong defense on their CT side, notching 8 rounds at the end of first half. With electroNic leading the charge, Cloud9 easily sealed the map, with a score of 13-9.
