cynic passes away at 23

David "⁠cynic⁠" Polster has passed away at the age of 23. The American Counter-Strike pro's current and former associates took to X on 27th January 2024, announcing the unfortunate incident and conveying their condolences. The cause of death has not been made public yet.

cynic has been in the pro scene from mid 2019 and has played for various teams including Nouns and BOSS. cynic's untimely demise came just before he was supposed to take stage at the PGL Copenhagen 2024 Major's Americas RMR for BOSS.
