Media: s1mple rules out reunion possibility

In a recent interview with Players, Counter-Strike legend s1mple spoke about the possibility of him joining Cloud9 and teaming up once again with former teammates electroNic, Perfecto and BoombI4.

I would never join Cloud9 when there are 4 Russian players. I think every Ukrainian should understand this. There were no conversations.

The Ukrainian great has not yet made his CS2 debut yet after benching himself to take off to focus on personal matters.

Between 2020 and 2023, the Natus Vincere (NAVI) core consisted of s1mple, electroNic and Perfecto with BoombI4 also playing an important role in NAVI's Major win in 2021. After a dominant couple of years, in 2022, with the Russo-Ukrainian War breaking out, NAVI parted ways with BoombI4 first and then electroNic and Perfecto moved to Cloud9 in 2023.

While s1mple remained on NAVI, results weren't the same and with the conclusion of ESL Pro League S18, which was the final CS:GO event, s1mple also took a break after that.

As the community waits for s1mple's return, the superstar himself revealed at IEM Katowice 2024 that he is looking to make his comeback post the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024.
