PGL Copenhagen's RMR breaks viewership records
In their latest report, Esports Charts shared interesting statistics to show that PGL Copenhagen 2024 Major's RMR was the most watched RMR in the history of RMRs. The RMRs curated over 22 million hours of watch time, surpassing the BLAST.tv Paris Major's RMRs despite having a significantly lesser airtime.
It comes as no surprise that the Europe RMR B was the most popular one with the community eagerly wanting to follow donk's road to the major after witnessing his lights-out performance at IEM Katowice 2024. EU RMR B also becomes the most watched singular RMR event of all time with over 8.8 million hours watched.
Complexity have generally attracted big crowds and stays consistent this time too topping the charts in the Americas RMR with their match against FURIA bringing in 4 million hours of watch time. The Asia-Pacific RMR pooled around 475K hours of watch time, with the Grayhound-LynnVision lower bracket finals generating peak viewership numbers.
These numbers have put the highly anticipated PGL Copenhagen 2024 Major on a pedestal. PGL Stockholm 2021 is currently Counter-Strike's most watched Major standing tall at 71.27 million hours of watch time.
