Bad News Kangaroos eliminate Garuda Wisnu Voyage
The first map of the Bo3 took us to Mirage where Bad News Kangaroos started on the CT side and bullied their way to a 10-2 half with ADDICT, BRACE and pz fragging out.
Garuda Wisnu Voyage had to win the second half’s pistol to have any chance of mounting a comeback but Bad News Kangaroos wasted no time and made short work of the Indonesian team, closing out Mirage 13-2.
Starting on the CT side of Vertigo, Garuda Wisnu Voyage took the pistol but Bad News Kangaroos snatched back the anti-eco, which was ultimately their undoing as Bad News Kangaroos put Garuda Wisnu Voyage at a 3-9 disadvantage with elimination on the line.
With no room for error, the battle was an uphill one for Garuda Wisnu Voyage but a pistol round loss crashed all their hopes. Bad News Kangaroos strung a quick 4 rounds streak in the second half to close out Vertigo 13-3 and the series 2-0.
With this loss, Garuda Wisnu Voyage end their Skyesports Grand Slam 2024 with back to back losses. Bad News Kangaroos have bounced back after their narrow loss to Aurora to stay alive in the lower bracket.
