Gods Reign, Marcos Gaming proceed to Upper Bracket Final
The second set of matches on the opening day of Skyesports Masters 2024 has concluded, marking the departure of the first two teams, 2EZ Gaming and Frag Theory. In contrast, Gods Reign and Marcos Gaming end the first day without losing a match.
Frag Theory vs Grayfox Esports
With eliminations on the line, Frag Theory met GrayFox Esports. Unfortunately for Frag Theory, the series saw a quick conclusion as GrayFox Esports reduced them to single-digit scorelines on both maps.
The first map was Anubis where GrayFox emerged victorious with a dominant 13-2 scoreline. The second map saw them take over the server, emerging triumphant by a 13-5 margin on Nuke.
Crescent vs 2EZ Gaming
After faltering in their opening matches of the Closed Qualifiers, 2EZ Gaming and Crescent clashed against each other. The BO3 kicked off with a statement win by Crescent on Anubis, winning by a 13-3 margin.
However, 2EZ Gaming responded in kind, taking the second map Mirage by a 13-4 scoreline after securing 8 rounds on their CT, followed by a flawless T half.
It boiled to the final map Nuke, where 2EZ Gaming asserted themselves with a 7-5 lead at halftime. However, Crescent turned the tides, claiming the map 13-9.
True Rippers vs Marcos Gaming
Marcos Gaming continued to impress in the tournament as their next victim was True Rippers. Kicking off their CT campaign, they secured a 10-2 lead, clinching the map by a 13-3 margin.
Next up was Vertigo, where TR posted 6 rounds on their T-side, leveling the score at halftime. However, they fell short of victory as Marcos Gaming claimed the map 13-11.
Carnival Gaming vs Gods Reign
Gods Reign clashed against Carnival Gaming in their second game. Starting on the CT Side, they secured a 7-5 lead, followed by a 6-6 half to close out the map.
The second map took us to Inferno, where things heated up as both teams tied the score at halftime. However, Gods Reign cruised further on their CT side, winning the map 13-9, with a highlight 1v4 clutch from their captain Bhavi.
