Protestors pause Playoff game

Bizarre incident

In a bizarre and first-ever incident, the quarter-final of the ongoing PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 between G2 and MOUZ has been paused following protestors running on to the main stage at the Royal Arena.

It is reported that these individuals are taking the stage to protest against G2 and their sponsorship with CSGORoll and are apparently backed by CSGOEmpire.

The protestors were quickly taken off the stage but it did result in the Major trophy taking a tumble.

Although none of the players were injured or affected by the incident it is learnt that the players instantly left the stage as soon as the group stormed the stage. The latest development has both teams return to the stage which signals that the game should resume soon.

Earlier in the day, CSGOEmpire released a blog statement in which they called out CSGORoll along with a couple of other sites. CSGORoll has been a partner of G2 since May 2023.

The owner of CSGOEmpire has also taken credit for the act.
