Indian Player Pushes Major MVP to the limits
The Upper bracket semi-final of the MENA Closed Qualifier for the Esports World Cup 2024 commenced with a face-off between JiJieHao and VC. The JiJieHao roster, boasting talents like Kjaerbye, ISSAA, and phzy, squared off against havoK, an Indian CS player based in the UAE. Despite gaining a 3-2 lead at the start of their own map pick Anubis, they ended the first half trailing 4-8.
As the map ended, JijieHao seized a 13-8 victory, despite the best efforts from havoK who posted a 1.20 rating. Next up was Anubis, where VC put their resilience on display, recovering from a 6-1 deficit to finding a lead at 8-7. The game became neck and neck, with leveled scores in regulation. However, the endgame favored JijieHao once again, as m1ni powered his team with 28 kills to a 16-13 win.
