Major winner and co. goes down to former Gods Reign coach

PokemoN and co. sends JiJieHao home

After takings win in their opening game at the Esports World Cup 2024 MENA Closed Qualifier it was Gods Reign's former coach PokemoN's Onyx Ravens going up against JiJieHao who had Major MVP Kjaerbye standing in for them.

Onyx Ravens' pick of Ancient was the series opener as PokemoN and co. started with an incredible T side going 10-1 up. JiJieHao fought back on their T side but Onyx Ravens hung on for a 13-9 win as it was a PokemoN triple kill that saw Onyx Ravens pick up the first map.

Onyx Ravens started JiJieHao's pick of Anubis with another big T-sided lead at 9-3 and while phzy, ISSAA and Kjaerbye tried to get JiJieHao back in the game, Onyx Ravens shut it out at 13-9 to ease to a 2-0 series win.

Gods Reign's former coach PokemoN and his squad are now one BO3 win away from making it to the Esports World Cup 2024.
