phzy, ISSAA powers JiJieHao to the Esports World Cup 2024

PokemoN and co. go down in the final hurdle

With one spot in the Esports World Cup 2024 up for grabs, the Grand Final of the Esports World Cup 2024 MENA Closed Qualifier saw Gods Reign's former coach's Onyx Ravens go up against JiJieHao, who had a Major winning MVP standing in for them. It was also a rematch of the upper bracket game from yesterday, where Onyx Ravens had gotten the better of JiJieHao.

OSAMAS and PokemoN powered Onyx Ravens to an 8-4 start on Anubis, which was JiJieHao's pick, to get the series underway. Onyx Ravens looked all secured to pick up the map going 12-5 up but with phzy and Kjaerbye leading the charge, JiJieHao pulled it back to take the map to overtime before making the entire comeback stick by going 16-14 to steal away the opening map.

JiJieHao started Onyx's pick of Ancient with a 7-5 lead on their CT side and it was a comfortable 13-7 win for JiJieHao as phzy and ISSAA put in stellar numbers to see them take the series 2-0.

Playing with a stand-in in Kjaerbye and then dropping to the consolidation final, JiJieHao did not give up even once and made sure to go all the way as their 2-0 win sees them book their spot in the Esports World Cup 2024.
