TheMongolz brush aside Chinggis Warriors to get MESA Pro Series Finals 2024 underway
With a spot not just in the MESA Nomadic Masters Spring 2024 up for grabs but also for the IESF Regional Qualifier, the MESA Pro Series Finals 2024 got underway with four of the best Mongolian teams.
TheMongolz kicked things off against Chinggis Warriors in the opening semi-final with the series starting on TheMongolz's pick of Mirage. After an 8-4 lead on the T-side, TheMongolz seemed to be cruising to a comfortable win after picking up the second half pistol but Chinggis Warriors answered on the force buy which helped them get a couple of rounds together. 910 closed out Mirage with a 1v2 to see TheMongolz go 1-0 up in the series after a 13-8 win with their youngster mzinho topping the scoreboard on Mirage with 20 kills.
Chinggis Warriors' pick of Anubis saw TheMongolz start with the T-sided pistol and were 4-0 up before Chinggis Warriors finally found footing on their CT side. TheMongolz denied Chinggis Warriors a chance to keep the half tight as a strong finish saw them go 8-4 up once again and 910 with a quad kill in the second pistol saw TheMongolz secure both pistols on Anubis. TheMongolz wrapped up the series 2-0 after picking up yet another dominant win, this time 13-7 on Anubis with Senzu and 910 topping the scoreboards with 22 and 20 kills respectively.
The win sees TheMongolz secure the Grand Final spot and they will take on the winner of the second semi-final between ATOX and The Huns, which will take place later on today.
