Gods Reign eagerly await BLAST's verdict on ATOX's MRQ status

Austin Major MRQ invites go out today

Gods Reign still on track for Asia MRQ invite

It's the 7th of April 2025 and after months of predictions and trajectory projections, the invite list for the Austin 2025 Major's MRQs have finally taken shape. The fourth spot from the Asian region was a tight contention but Rare Atom managed to edge out SemperFi by 26 points, bringing two Major slots to the Chinese region.

However, there's still a hanging chad left in the air on the Asian side of things. ATOX who've been the subject of an excruciating ESIC investigation have been shortlisted for an MRQ invite in the Asian MRQ. ESL, PGL and even BLAST have removed ATOX from their events and if the stance applies to the MRQ as well, then ATOX's removal places an Indian team next in line for the Asian MRQ spot.

Fact box

ATOX's removal from the Asian MRQ is an educated guess taken by many prominent Counter-Strike personalities on social media due to ATOX's ongoing ESIC investigation and has not yet been officially announced by BLAST. This is a developing story and more updates shall follow as and when made public by BLAST, ATOX or Gods Reign.

Gods Reign who are currently placed at #13 in the Asian rankings could nab ATOX's spot in the Asian MRQ becoming the first ever Indian representative at a Major qualifier as pointed out by Elfishguy on X. Gods Reign have played against their Asian MRQ counterparts The Huns, Chinggis Warriors and Eruption frequently in league matches over the past couple of years and have even gotten the better of the latter on multiple occasions.

Lynn Vision's 'tactical' forfeit came in handy, as Rare Atom held on to the second spot in the Asian rankings giving the Chinese a second slot in their MRQ. Alongside Rare Atom are TYLOO, Lynn Vision and DogEvil in the Chinese MRQ. SemperFi, FlyQuest, ex-TALON and Rooster are locked-in for Oceanic MRQ invites. The spearheads of Asian Counter-Strike, The MongolZ will start directly in Stage 3 of the Austin Major.
