5W Gaming unveil new coach
Yesterday 5W Gaming took to X to announce their new Counter-Strike 2 head coach. Loord has joined 5W Gaming and will take over coaching responsibilities. The veteran Counter-Strike player's professional journey can be tracked all the way back to the Counter-Strike 1.6 days in 2006.
His first scalp in the pro scene were massive wins at S-tier events in late 2006 including WSVG 2006 London and World Cyber Games 2006. After wins at SLTV ProSeries XII and ESL Mistrzostwa Polski in 2015 Loord called it a day on his role as a player and began his transition into a coach.
Loord's first big win in the coaching role came with Kinguin at NVIDIA Challenge CS:GO 2016 after which he went on to spend over three years with the team winning a number of B and C tier events including Fantasyexpo Challenge Season 3, ESEA Season 23: Premier Division - Europe, Hellcase Cup #3 and ESL Mistrzostwa Polski: Spring 2017.
5W Gaming entered the Counter-Strike scene last month featuring ex-Intro The Breach player Thomas alongside other renown pros such as joel, h4rn, pr1metapz and REDSTAR. The org's entry surprised the local scene with little to no industry history.
