BLEED edge out Monte to book Grand Final spot

Three-map affair goes down to the wire

The semi-finals of the Skyesports Championship 2024 Europe Closed Qualifier kicked off with Monte taking on BLEED for a place in the finals.

The series kicked off on Monte's pick of Mirage with a B hit from Monte getting things underway. BLEED kept themselves alive with five defensive rounds and a clean B split from hampus and co. saw them go on to tie the game after converting against the force. Back-to-back unsuccessful forces from Monte saw BLEED go on to take the lead of the map. BLEED started their T-side with six in a row before Monte finally got their CT-half going. A trade of rounds towards the end of regulation saw Mirage head to overtime where BLEED finally closed it at 16-13.

Monte started their opponent's pick of Ancient with the early advantage. Monte's eight-round CT half helped them secure a comfortable 13-7 win on Ancient to keep the series alive.

The decider on Vertigo was a barnburner with neither team willing to give an inch, which eventually led to BLEED hanging on for a 16-14 win to take the series 2-1.

BLEED now move into the Grand Final of the Skyesports Championship 2024 Europe Closed Qualifier and will take on the winner of Sashi - 3DMAX semi-final.
