Skyesports Championship 2024 India Closed Qualifier Grand Final: Preview
With Gods Reign taking down Marcos Gaming in the Consolidation Final, we have our Grand Finalists for the Skyesports Championship 2024 India Closed Qualifier confirmed with the winner set to lock in a spot in the Skyesports Championship 2024.
True Rippers were the first finalists, and have made an unbeaten run into the finals, with their AWPer DayMake having a stellar tournament and former-Gods Reign captain Crazy_Gamer has been impactful as well for True Rippers. While True Rippers have been in fine form, DEFAULTER and his boys have an issue of making finals but not being able to get over the final hurdle. True Rippers have gone down in quite a number of Finals this year itself and most of them were to Gods Reign. They have a chance now to not only make it to the LAN stage of one of the biggest Counter-Strike tournaments in the country but also extract revenge on their old rivals.
Gods Reign on the other hand have been doing what they do best - start slow and then run through everyone. After a slip up on the opening day against True Rippers, they have bounced back to knock out Carnival Gaming and Marcos Gaming and now have their own shot at setting the score straight against True Rippers for the opening day loss. Gods Reign's AWPer himself reV3nnnn had an incredible series against Marcos Gaming, single-handedly getting his team across on multiple occasions in that multi-overtime series. Ph1NNNN, R2B2 have been sharp as well and while f1redup has not been at his usual best, the Indian star has come in with crucial rounds and with teams giving him enough time to get going, he has made them pay.
Just as how things should be, we have two of India's best teams battling it to make it to the big stage with some of the world's finest. It's not only going to be about the firepower but a battle of tenacity and mental strength that will see one team through and be able represent the country against international teams.
The Grand Final will be streamed live on Skyesports' Twitch channel.
