Esport World Cup opening matchups revealed
Through a post on X, the upcoming and much anticipated Esports World Cup's opening round matchups have been unveiled. The Esports World Cup kicks off on 17th July 2024 with a Ro14, where The MongolZ get their rematch against G2 in the final match of the day at 11:30PM IST.
The action begins with NAVI taking on FURIA and MOUZ locking horns with Sashi at 05:00PM IST. The opening round's matchups are as follows:

The opening round hosts a single-elimination bracket across 14 teams with all matches running a bo3 setting. The winners advance to the playoffs while the rest go down to the play-in stage where eight teams battle it out in a single-elimination bo1 bracket and the winner makes it to the playoffs.
The playoffs run a single-elimination bo3 bracket where the winner walks away with the lion's share of the $1,000,000 USD prize pool.
