BetBoom withdraws from Skyesports Championship 2024

Russian team not happy with arrangements

BetBoom has announced that the Russian Counter-Strike team is withdrawing from the Skyesports Championship 2024 amidst all the issues surrounding the $300,000 tournament.

BetBoom stated that they are withdrawing from the event as the the tournament organiser did not live up to what was promised to them with regards to the conditions and the issues weren't resolved either. They stated that the playing field is not same for all the teams.

The opening day of the Skyesports Championship 2024 was plagued with issues as only one match took place from the scheduled 10 due to electricity and internet issues. The tournament is taking place at Mumbai's Taj Lands End hotel.

BetBoom were one of the 12 teams taking part in the event and were placed in the Group B along with the likes of Eternal Fire, Revenant, 3DMAX, DMS and AMKAL. BetBoom was scheduled to kick off their campaign against 3DMAX but Skyesports postponed the games scheduled for the opening day to the second day due to electricity and internet issues. The Russian team leaves the event without having played a single game at the event, having flown in just the day before.
