Thunderpick World Championship talent announced
The upcoming Thunderpick World Championship 2024 has suddenly become a highly anticipated event with Falcons announcing that s1mple was back on their active roster. The community eagerly looks forward to s1mple's return to competitive Counter-Strike after nearly seven months.
The event's on-air talent has also been unveiled and well known Indian analyst, Bleh is set to man the analysts desk alongside YNk with stunna as the desk host. Hugo and Dinko will take the audience through the game in the commentary box. OhnePixel's manager dona has been brought in as the interviewer for the event.
Virtus.pro was the latest announced team to join the event through an invite, leaving five slots still open, all of which will be filled through invites. The qualifiers have run their course with M80 and Legacy winning the North American qualifiers, Imperial and BESTIA winning the South American qualifiers, Cloud9 and BLEED winning the European qualifiers.
Thunderpick World Championship 2024 begins on 21st October 2024 and will run for a week as an online event. Carrying a prize pool of $80,000 USD, the tournament begins with a GSL bo3 group stage, followed by a single-elimination bo3 playoffs to crown the winners.
