FlyQuest send DRILLAS home
As we approach the backend of the Asia-Pacific RMR, things get spicier with FlyQuest taking on Ohne Pixel's DRILLAS to stay alive in the Shanghai Major contention. The first map took us to Anubis where DRILLAS started on the T-side with a 3-0 lead.
A M4a1s 3K from dexter opened FlyQuest's account with the Aussies catching up at 5-5 but DRILLAS still ended up with a 7-5 advantage at half-time. INS opened up the pistol round for FlyQuest in the second half with a quick couple glock headshots. FlyQuest put up a masterful T-side, dropping just a couple of rounds in the half to close out Anubis 13-9.
On Dust2, Woro2k and Kvem went absolutely ballistic on the T-side, locking down FlyQuest to a 2-10 disadvantage in the first half. DRILLAS kept it clean and closed out Dust2 with a 13-2 scoreline, levelling the series at 1-1 to push the series into the decider.

The decider took us to Ancient where DRILLAS won the pistol and anti-eco on their CT-side but Vexite's AK 4K, cleaning up DRILLAS set the tone for FlyQuest as the Aussies ran away with an 8-4 half. With a 4-0 start on the T-side, DRILLAS closed the gap right out the gate in the second half and pushed the game into overtime with back and forth trades for the rest of the half.
FlyQuest were well on their way to close game in the first overtime but Woro2k's AWP extended play and eventually fetched DRILLAS the match point at 15-14 but FlyQuest pushed the game into a second overtime where DRILLAS swept the CT-side to secure match point at 18-15. FlyQuest returned the favor with a flawless half of their own, adding another overtime to the books.
aliStair's AWP double kill towards A, followed by a well structured retake on the B-site, fetched FlyQuest a flawless half, just a single round away from sending DRILLAS home at 21-18. A brute-force A-site take sealed the deal for FlyQuest as DRILLAS end their RMR run in the lower semi-final. INS starred in FlyQuest's 22-19 win with 35 frags at an ADR of 100.
FlyQuest are now just a single win away from booking their slot at the Perfect World Shanghai 2024 Major.
