Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 Asia RMR Day 2: Recap
There was plenty of action and heart-break on the second day at the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 Asia RMR as we had two out of the three spots from the Asia RMR locked in while two teams also went home.

No BnTeT for Asia's first Major
The second day at the Shanghai Major RMR kicked off with Alter Ego fighting for survival against Lynn Vision in the lower bracket and BnTeT and co. were hit early on by a strong Lynn Vision T side as the Chinese team drew first blood on Ancient before Alter Ego fought back on Dust2. On the decider on Nuke, it was all Lynn Vision as they ended BnTeT, XigN and Alter Ego's dreams of making it to the first Asian Major.
Will we see BnTeT or XigN at a Counter-Strike Major again? Only time will tell.
FlyQuest stay afloat
After suffering a shock defeat to fellow Oceania squad TALON on the opening day, FlyQuest fought back in the elimination game against GR. The Australian hit first on their opponent's pick of Ancient before a strong T side on their pick of Anubis saw them eliminate GR and keep their dreams of making the Major alive following a clean 2-0.
The MongolZ give hope, The MongolZ take it away
The first advancement game of the day was the big ticket match between The MongolZ and DRILLAS and it was DRILLAS taking the opening map to stun Asia's best and put them on the backfoot. Cornered and with their backs against the wall, bLitz and co. answered back in style, locking in Ancient and Anubis in dominant fashion to become the first team to qualify for the Shanghai Major 2024.
Rare Atom gives the home fans more reason to celebrate
The final game of Day 2 saw TALON and Rare Atom fight it out for a spot in the Major and it was home team, Rare Atom cleaning up the Oceania team 2-0 following wins consecutive 13-8 wins on Vertigo and Inferno to become the second team to book their place in the Shanghai Major and give the Chinese fans something extra to celebrate as they will now have at least one home team at the Major.
Tomorrow will be the final day of the Shanghai Major 2024 Asia RMR and there will be four teams battling it out for the final spot from the Asia RMR.
FlyQuest will face DRILLAS in the first game of the day while Lynn Vision take on TALON in the other lower bracket semi-final.
The two winners from those two games will fight it out for the final Major spot from the Asia RMR in the lower bracket final while the losers will head home.
