Rare Atom hold on against The Huns to make upper bracket final at MESA Asia Series 2024
After taking down Chinggis Warriors in their opening game, The Huns faced Rare Atom in the 1XBET MESA Asia Series 2024 Finals upper bracket semi-final, where they fell to the Chinese squad, who had their coach z8z standing in for kaze.
The Mongolian side's pick of Inferno got things underway where the trio of ChildKing, Summer and somebody propelled Rare Atom to a six-round lead on their CT half before closing out the map at 13-8 to see off a comeback attempt from The Huns. Rare Atom started strong once again, this time on their pick of Anubis, going 8-4 up on their T side before The Huns brought it to a one-round game, hitting back with their T-sided pistol and conversion. The Huns, though, didn't let Rare Atom build on that, as they kept the rounds ticking and a back-and-forth half saw xerolte and Veccil find impact late on to see The Huns steal a 13-11 win.
Ancient was Rare Atom come out with their guns swinging from the get-go, with Summer and somebody seeing Rare Atom go 9-3 up on their T side before they closed it out at 13-5 to take the series 2-1.
The win puts Rare Atom into the Upper Bracket Final, where they will face Eruption while The Huns drop do the Lower Bracket semi-final and will face IHC.
