CS2's new bug sends players flying- and everyone's loving it

2025's 1st CS2 update breaks ragdolls

The first Counter-Strike 2 update of 2025 has introduced an unexpected feature that has the community rolling: wildly unpredictable ragdoll physics. Players who are killed now find their character models being launched across the map in random directions, creating hilariously chaotic moments during matches.

The glitch has quickly become a source of entertainment, with players and streamers sharing clips of particularly dramatic "launches" on social media. Even the official Counter-Strike account on X has embraced the situation, reposting a clip of an especially amusing ragdoll moment on Ancient with the caption "Counter-Strike is unmatched." They went a step further by updating their banner to feature this caption.

While Valve has acknowledged the physics quirk through their social media engagement, they haven't yet released a fix. Some community members speculate this might be because the developers are planning to bundle the fix with an upcoming update that could bring Train into the active duty map pool.

For now, players continue to enjoy the chaos and entertainment, with each kill potentially turning into a physics-defying spectacle. Here are some clips posted on X showing hilarious ragdoll launces or some call it - the Counter-Strike Space Program:
