Sloppy Gods Reign brushed aside by -72c
Gods Reign's scrappy ESL Challenger League Season 49 Asia-Pacific campaign continued as they kicked off the latest round of games with a sloppy and uninspired performance against Russian team -72c in the first BO1.
A forzetsky triple in the pistol round saw -72c get their T side going on Anubis before running away to a 6-0 lead. A first round seemed all but locked in but the Indian team dropped a 2v5 situation on the B site which saw the Russian squad further extend their lead before an R2B2 triple saw Gods Reign complete a clean retake to get on the board. Two rounds in a row meant that Gods Reign put the Russian team on a low buy and had the chance to put together a decent CT half but sloppy defensive holds saw them lose to a Tec-9 mid-spilt to the B site which saw -72c go 10-2 up.
-72c wasted no time in closing things out as they wrapped up Anubis at 13-4 to pick up a big win. Both teams will be back in action shortly for their second BO1 encounter.
