Ph1NNN stars in Gods Reign's win over THE
After a string of mixed results at the ESL Challenger League Season 49 Asia-Pacific, Gods Reign kicked off a new week at ECL S49 Asia Pacific with a win over former True Rippers' AWPer DayMake's squad, THE. After winning the opening BO1 against the Russian squad, Gods Reign will now look to complete the double over them.
A Bhavi and Ph1NNN full house in the pistol saw Gods Reign start with the CT pistol and converted against the pistol buy before THE got going once they brought out the guns on their T side. THE went on to make it five in a row before a triple shutdown from R2B2 helped Gods Reign get their second round on the board. Gods Reign finished the half with five defensive rounds before the second half pistol helped them go on to take the lead of the game at 8-7.
After picking up four on the trot, Gods Reign dropped a 3v5 to give THE their first defensive round before Bhavi and Ph1NNN made sure Gods Reign hit double digits instantly. R2B2 and Ph1NNN turned around a 3v5 for Gods Reign to see the Indian team hit match point and Bhavi's boys closed Ancient at 13-9 to pick up a crucial win in the latest round of ECL games. Both teams will be back in the server shortly for their second BO1 game with Gods Reign looking to complete the double while THE will look to pick up some points.
