Did HLTV just open a new website only for India? What does a product of HLTV mean? Can we expect an Indian CS scene finally in CS2?

Maybe. I hope the scene is improved. We already have a Skyesports tournament coming very soon, in partnership with Dust2 I believe?

Not sure when but I did see a poster on Twitter about the same. It mentioned a prize pool of 2 Cr. so pretty sure it'll attract a lot of gamers.

Also I don't think there are any "professional" CSGO teams in India because of how dominant Valorant scene is and has been for a while. But with tournaments lining up we can maybe see more players returning to the game again 👀

Valve must be planning something with CS2 in mind. I would love to see Indian teams in major someday, last time was team wolf.

The forsaken incident single-handedly killed the CS esports scene of India. It was quite active until that happened. Been only downfall since then and pretty much dead meat since Valorant's increase of popularity. With D2 in launching there's maybe a rare beacon of hope arising

+1 forsaken has become an eternal meme. I am sure its about CS2. Even brazil got a good cs scene, valve doesnt want to lose Indian market to valorant.

Dust 2 is a community news and forum associated with HLTV, and they have separate region-wise forums such as Dust2 US and Dust2 IN is the latest one in the series. Starting this year, the Indian CS scene has been getting lots of investments and the future looks bright as well. Such as the arrival of Dust2 IN, then also the new franchise league with a massive prize pool in India, and don't forget the Esports Federation of India which is the official government organization of India for esports and have been constantly doing tournaments. We have also got an official national CS team as well now, haha, both in male and female categories :)

When is the tournament? Where can I watch it? There is no events page like that of HLTV.org.

There are not much details about the tournament yet, so that's why HLTV doesn't have much information about it. It was recently announced on the official Skyesports SNS channels, I saw the news on their twitter handle. The league is called the 'Skyesports Masters' with a prize pool of 2cr INR and it contains 8 different teams (which are yet to be announced as well but have been already invited). Also at the announcement banner they have used the CS2 logo along the CSGO logo as well, so it's really exciting. Moreover I read somewhere that they are going to host the matches throughout multiple cities in the cyber cafes and stadiums to seek out the Indian talent. Keep an eye on their SNS channels, they will release details soon. PS: If you are looking for the organizers twitter handle, it is @skyesportsindia

Hi Roony. You are just right, Dust2.in is owned by HLTV just like the other Dust2 sites. We hope to be a big part in rebuilding the Indian CS scene
