Imperial fall to Sprout
Sprout took down FalleN and his men as the IGL-less team beat Imperial 2-1 to eliminate the Brazilians from Brazy Party 2023.
The second elimination game of the day saw Sprout take on Imperial with the action starting off on Imperial's pick of Mirage. It was Sprout who took the pistol starting on the CT side. Imperial got on the board courtesy their first gun round on round three. Imperial were up 6-2 but Sprout managed to salvage the half with a streak of 7 rounds to end the half 9-6. Sprout took the second pistol and then ran away with the second half, closing out the map 16-7.
Next up was Sprout's pick of Ancient and Imperial were on the CT side. Sprout won the pistol and took an early lead in the half but Imperial bounced back to end the first half 10-5 in the Brazilian team's favour. Imperial converted the second pistol to quickly go up 13-5 before Sprout put together three of their own rounds. Sprout were beginning to close the game, but JOTA put Imperial on match point with a ridiculous 1v3 clutch with the Tec-9. Imperial closed out the map 16-11, taking the series to a decider. JOTA finished Ancient with 30 kills and a 1.83 rating.
The final map of the series got underway on Inferno with Sprout on the CT side and it was the CTs who took the opening pistol. Imperial at one point seemed like they would take the lead in the first half but Sprout ended the half strongly, taking a 9-6 lead. Sprout took the second pistol as well to get double digits. Sprout were up to 13 before Imperial got their first round thanks to a strong multi-kill round from FalleN. That one round saw Imperial close up the game at 13-10 before Sprout got back on the board. FalleN came up with an important clutch round for Imperial which put them on 11 but that was all for the Brazilians as Sprout closed out the map 16-11.
