FaZe go 2-0 after taking down paiN
FaZe went 2-0 in the opening day of the Challengers Stage of the Paris Major 2023 after taking down paiN 16-12 on Nuke with their veteran rain and ropz stepping up once again.
FaZe and paiN kicked off the Round 2 games on Day 1 of the Challengers Stage at the Paris Major 2023 with the action kicking off on Nuke. paiN started on the defensive half and a triple kill from biguzera saw the Brazilians take the pistol. The recent Intel Grand Slam champions though bounced back on the force-buy to tie things up. The force-buy helped FaZe put together a string of rounds but it was biguzera who kept paiN in the game with a couple of crucial multi-kill rounds. z3vy clutched out an important 1v2 on A site to keep the Brazilians in the first half but FaZe on a low buy with deagles and galils in the final round of the first half, won out the half 8-7 as they headed into their defensive half.
ropz started the CT half for FaZe with a 4k and the Antwerp Major champions kept it clean against the deagles to hit double digits first. rain came in with his quintessential multi-kill round from yard as FaZe went up to 12 after winning the first gun round. It took paiN six rounds on the second half to get their first half but ropz came in with a 1v2 AWP clutch to get FaZe right back on the board. paiN made sure that FaZe didn't run away with the map as they hit double digits.
Multiple clean rounds from paiN broke FaZe's economy which eventually saw the Brazilians bring the game to a two-round game but the deagle of rain on a pistol round gave FaZe map point. FaZe wrapped up their second match 16-12 with rain ending the match 22 kills while ropz topped the scoreboard with 24 kills.
FaZe now are a win away from securing the Legends spot.
